High voltage capacitors for CO₂ laser power supplies

CO₂ laser tubes need trigger and sustaining voltages of 20–30 kV or more, usually from a high frequency inverter with a multiplier output. Output capacitors see both high voltage and a relatively high operating frequency, so voltage margin and self-heating matter.
